Exclaimed at top volume by the first person at a meal to find a bone in their fish

Origin

A ploy Pa and Evelyn hit upon to encourage their children to eat their fish – hoping to be the first to find a bone. However, they were thoroughly duped because the sixpence had to go in the Missionary Box: there was no personal gain in winning the sixpence!
