From the tea lady at PW Birmingham who struck up one conversation with “Did you see the thing about that Douglas Badger on the telly last night?”

Bader flew Hurricances and was credited with 22 aerial victories and participation in 44 victories & probables… all after losing both legs in a crash at Woodley Aerodrome in 1931
