all the way round sir? expression or saying

Literally “shall I serve you everything?” Can be used to imply a hint of gluttony

Origin

The British Rail breakfast was served from a massive salver: eggs, bacon, sausages, fried bread and so on. The customary way for the steward to announce his arrival at your table was “All the way round, sir?” (at least it was on the New Street → Euston service)

Collector

Mark – 1980s
Mark Iliff – owner

Notes

In ironic usage, the “sir” is obligatory regardless of pronoun preferences
