white horse noun

A perfect guest

Origin

From the then-advertising slogan of White Horse whisky “you can take a white horse anywhere”. Conferred on JM by the Moss family during a skiing holiday.

Collector

JM – late 1960s
Jane-Marie Harrison (Iliff) – sibling of Mark

Notes

It is perhaps not coincidental that Arthur Moss was a bigwig in The Distillers Company, which was not unconnected with whiskies
